Tuition and Curriculum
We participate in the Hope Scholarship program for West Virginia.
Without the scholarship, the cost of tuition for new students in 2026-2027 is $500/month along with other fees which are listed below.
Tuition is payable on the first of each month for a total of nine (9) months. September - May. A late fee of $25 is accrued if payment is not made by the 10th of each month.
Curriculum
We use curriculum from several developers including in-house design.
The cost for curriculum is $400. Along with a curriculum fee, there is a technology fee, a transportation fee (for gym and field trips), a graduation fee for seniors, a safety fee (insurance), and a portfolio fee for yearly assessments. These fees add up to the current year's Hope Scholarship award.

Enrollment and Testing Fees
We take enrollment applications very seriously at NHCS, therefore, to cover the expenses that may arise as a result of enrollment, we charge a non-refundable enrollment fee of $50. This is a one-time annual fee.
We are a Microschool. Every year, we are required to assess our students in one of two ways. We may administer a nationally standardized test or choose to have a portfolio reviewed by a certified teacher. Currently, we prefer the portfolio option. The fee for this service is $45 and is non-refundable.

After you read this website and fill out our online application, you will receive a confirmation email for the receipt of the application. Within two weeks, you will either receive a phone call to set up an initial meeting with the Administrator for yourself and your child, or you will receive a letter explaining why we chose not to accept your application.
